Meet Bernard prides itself on the personal service it offers its customers and it's important the message is echoed across its seasonal campaigns. With that in mind we created the successful 'Make it Personal' campaign last Autumn/Winter and wanted to create a Summer Campaign which was a natural evolution. So...we devised the The 'Streets of Personality' Campaign and took the message on the road.

Inspired by the notion of bringing the world’s best and most loved brands closer to home, Meet Bernard opened its Greenwich menswear store In 2006. The store blossomed into a thriving fashion hub for the South-East and with the opportunity to expand, Meet Bernard opened its womenswear 5 years later. Now located in East Dulwich, a slice of South-East that’s steeped in culture, creativity and open parks, Meet Bernard began to encompass more than just being a retail store; it became part of the London community. Meet Bernard prides itself on the personal service it offers its customers and it’s important the message is echoed across its seasonal campaigns. With that in mind we created the successful ‘Make it Personal’ campaign last Autumn/Winter and wanted to create a Summer Campaign which was a natural evolution. So...we devised the The ‘Streets of Personality’ Campaign and took the message on the road. The diverse streets of Peckham have personality at every turn, so was the ideal location for the shoot. We wanted the personality of the carefully selected garments to shine through and marry with the story and personality of the streets. Thankfully the sun shone and the team were able to get some fantastic shots showcasing the Summer looks wearing YMC, Ganni, La Paz, OAS, Edwin Kimi Telford & American Vintage and more. Then we hit the pub of course! With a team of stylists, photographers, models, hair and make-up, Skin+bones Art Directed the shoot which landed online and in various locations and publications across South East London. A lookbook, 32page brochure and social campaign followed. I recently had the pleasure of working with Indie at Skin+Bones on an advertising project for the South East London based retail store “Meet Bernard”. Indie stuck me as a visionary Art Director who embraced the stores vision and philosophy by implementing his own creative mindset and ideology thus “Streets of Personality were born!

Once the idea came to fruition via the photoshoot I couldn’t help but notice Indie’s attention to detail coupled with an ability to engage constant correspondence with the client and the rest of the team that in itself creates a wonderful atmosphere which is paramount when shooting a fashion photo campaign! I myself as a Fashion Director/Stylist who’s been in the industry for time would not hesitate to work with Skin+Bones at any given time in the future!

For our Summer Campaign we were always going to use Skin+Bones. They executed our previous campaigns so well that we didn’t want to look elsewhere. We were absolutely thrilled with the results of this campaign. We didn’t think the previous one could be topped but somehow they managed to do just that. Thanks again!
